So I thought I would update this. Laredo<3 Laredo is a 14.3hh/15hh Quarter Horse Gelding. Our current record for the highest jump we have ever made together is 4'1. I have owned him a bit over 3 years. When I bought Laredo he had no english/jumping training. I orginally rode Western until someone at the place I boarded at inspired me to begin english. It started out rough because with my first english saddle came a tragic fall my sister had with Laredo. He damaged his hoof badly and he was off for about 5 months. We slowly began again & I got my first trainer who I did strictly dressage with. I had no interest in dressage at all. Got a new trainer, she didn't work out, and now I've been through I'd say 6 trainers maybe? You can tell I have no luck with trainers. My most recent trainer has an AMAZING horse Moosh who is featured in some videos, we showed in the 3' hunters and equitation at "AA" horse shows. That trainer didn't work out either. But on a happy note I now have a great trainer that is definitely going to being out the best of me & Laredo =D What you see is what you get basically. Laredo isn't a fancy horse that does everything for me, he's actually the complete opposite, if I stop riding for a second he'll be all over the place. If I think about it he's still pretty new to jumping. I've only REALLY been jumping him w/lessons for a year and 8 months. Before, I just yee-hawed around like a crazy chick doing whatever the heck I wanted without a care, with the weekly dressage lesson. And he's never been jumped before I owned him. Hencee I'm pretty still new to jumping, but I'm a quick learner. I've worked my butt off to where I am now, and dang proud of myself and Laredo. Many people ask how much he was and cause I can, i'll just announce it on my page...Laredo was $3000, just turned 6, and only knew western when I got him. I love this horse, its really hard to explain the amazing bond I have with him. My binders/etc for school are covered with "I love Laredo" and decorated with photos. Whatever homework assignment or test you'll always see a "i love laredo" on there. (: Random facts about muah: I live in the sunshine state (Florida). I breath horses everyday. Life is pretty good. Photography is awesome. I love my camera xD. I'm good at multi-tasking (: I get hungry a lot. The movie Apollo 13 is thee best. It takes a lot to get me mad. I'm pretty humble.. but I have a problem with copiers, people who aren't original annoy me badly =D I can't stand country.
