Jun 12, 2008 - i wouldnt go quite that far.i would think quite the opppisite that les is really good in his own rite but flea just has so many years and so many amazing bass lines.also what i like about flea is that he realizes that in a lot of songs he doesnt have to dominate, and he can just have a sick, funky bassline, and on others he can go all out slap crazy, as exemplified by their first two albums with john.

Jun 15, 2008 - You're judging subjectively. You may enjoy Flea's basslines more, but it's hard to argue that he's a technically more skilled bassist. I personally do enjoy the Chilis abit more than Primus, but Les has Flea beat in terms of bass.

Jun 18, 2008 - I would give the best rhythm section award to John Paul Jones and John Bonham. They kept that groove tight and driving, but still managed to be incredibly flexible and almost read each others' minds. At least in rock music.
